💡 What Does “Alkaline Water” Actually Mean?

pH = “potential of hydrogen.”

It measures how acidic or basic (alkaline) a solution is, ranging from 0 to 14:

👉 When we say water is alkaline, we’re simply saying it has a pH above 7.

🌡️ Why This Matters (and Where People Get Confused)

A lot of people hear “hydrogen” and immediately think acidity — because in chemistry, H⁺ (hydrogen ions) are what lower pH and make something acidic.

So when they see that Kangen Water® contains “hydrogen,” they assume it must be acidic or high in H⁺.

But here’s the key:

👉 Not all hydrogen is the same.

And the kind in Kangen Water® is not acidic.

In other words:

Acidity = H⁺ (positive, charged, proton)

Antioxidant benefit = H₂ (neutral, stable molecule)
